More about me: I am a research scientist by profession and am married with 4 children living in upstate New York (USA). I grew up in the Catholic tradition, and am currently a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as worshiping together is important to me and my wife, who grew up in the Methodist/United Church of Christ traditions and the ELCA has been a good balance. I became introduced to NCD about 5 years ago (the ELCA is advocating NCD) and have been using it at my congregation for several years. I led a congregational survey where we lack in need-oriented evangelism and passionate spirituality. I have led 3 small groups in exploring their gifts using 3 Colors of Ministry, with great feedback from the participants.
