I participated in a 3 Colors workshop at our diocesan convention in February 2010 and am interested in learning more about how God is inviting me to explore spiritual styles in more depth. At first, I thought that I was comfortable enough in my native style to begin exploring my opposite style, but now I am understanding that's not the case. I need to pay attention to the things that all styles have in common (prayer and worship, learning from scripture, addressing sin and forgiveness, humility, and growing in passion) and how those manifest in my sensory style (if they do...I have some baby steps to address this Lent).

At some point, I'd like to participate in mutual mentoring, but I'm not sure that I've even to a point of doing that. [previous comment: I am open to mutual mentoring via email or postal mail, though I'd prefer postal mail (one of my new year's resolutions was to write more letters).]

My spiritual history (in a nutshell):

I was away from church for about 10 years before I found the Episcopal Church 14 years ago. God had some things in store for me, including 4 years in spiritual formation programs through the Dominican Center at Marywood (Grand Rapids, MI). As a result, I now companion people in their spiritual journeys as a spiritual director.
