When Jesus sees all that has been accomplished by his anguish...
I'd like to share with you a bit about why I sit on this verandah each morning at about 5 o'clock and why that is such a rich experience for me. The first reason is that my children are tucked safely in their beds and are unable to interrupt me. But why is it I like to come out here. I'd like to share a bit about that.

Scripture-driven
Thank-you for the post Melinda, I to and still am a scripture-driven person. Recently through I've gone to a very charismatic church where it seems to be very much on the manifestation of the working of the Holy Spirit and I believe that it is real especially as It glorifies Jesus. Even through this is very different and unusual I realize that It takes two wings to fly!.

Hi Melinda,
identified with the ending of your post, when you say what drives you most, is the doctrinal style, and you have a burden to know the truth that sets free. I don't know how much space they give you here for comments so will try to be brief. I was born in England, emigrated to Canada age 17 (almost was Australia!) I am now 69. Like yourself searched a long time as to what is the truth that sets free? May I suggest a few books to read at your wonderful discipline of reading at 5am. Here you will find what you are longing for, because it is the heart of the gospel. Books are "The Rest of the Gospel (when the partial gospel has worn you out) by Dan Stone&Greg Smith. or try "Lifetime Guarantee" by Bill Gillham. The latest book hot off the press is excellent too, called "The Naked Gospel" by Andrew Farley. I'm sure they must be
available in Australia. I have just checked out Capernwray Torchbearers Australia website, it may be right on your doorstep, it mentions Queensland. This is where I met Major Ian Thomas (dead now) at Capernwray Quebec and discovered Paul's gospel. If you contact this Bible School, ask for his books or where you can get them. I finish with a sad commentary. On the front cover of The Naked Gospel you will read these words:"The truth you may never hear in a church". I can say Amen to that. You need one of these books fast, give one of them a try, you will never ever regret what you will discover in them, it's all in Romans 5,6,7 & 8, Col 1:27 Gal 2:20. I'm new to these posts not sure if they give you my email, I will check back here to see if you post anything, bye for now
