In order to understand what a spiritual style is all about, it is helpful first to view it as an “antenna for the divine.” Metaphorically speaking, God “broadcasts” on all nine channels, but we may have only set up to receive one or two channels. The reason that we don‘t receive anything on the other seven or eight channels is not that God doesn‘t broadcast anything, but simply that we haven‘t switched on these channels.
